Bent Creek Heat

First ride of the NC vacation.

Rode Bent Creek in the afternoon heat.  Dave on his 1X4 Vassago Jabberwocky and me on the 1994 SWorks.

Realized after the ride that all the racket on the SWorks rear end was a combination of worn V brake pads and flat spots in rim.  LBS (Carolina Fatz) had one 26" rim brake rim in stock.  Just so happened to have the same ERD as the Velocity K-525 that's on there now.

I'll be pulling the laceover to my new blingy DT-Swiss XR 425 down here in NC.

Rotor Truing

Crescent wrench definitely works, but the couch cog is right in this case.  Once you try the Park Rotor Truing Tool you'll never go back!

Former Site of Three Nines Tavern

This place had been around forever and was the best bar around.  Prices were low, mugs were frosty, and the tenders re-filled your beer without asking.  It closed last fall and was demolished this week;-(
