Extra special bike love for buddy's wife's CX Bike;-)
1991 Diacompe XCM cantis. These are the ones that you adjust the
spring tension with a 13mm cone wrench on the left arm.
Schweet!
Half worn Madison post pads were actually formed perfectly to be
flipped opposite the originally worn direction and provide
uber-tubular-glue and bead clearance, Clarence.
Yummy old parts bin parts just love to be brought back to life. It's
like Toy Story 3;-)

Hell Hath No Fury | The Sufferfest

All Girl Sufferfest...[blip.tv http://blip.tv/play/gf0wgty9UgI width="480" height="300"]

The Details: Hell Hath No Fury

The most highly anticipated Sufferfest video of 2011!

For almost two years, we’ve been asked by Sufferlandrians to do the classic 2×20:00 workout. We resisted. We simply couldn’t figure out how to make it interesting. But then we got our hands on a full year of UCI Pro Women’s racing footage from the World Cup. Emma Pooley, Evelyn Stevens, Marianne Vos…the stars are all there in races like the Tour of Flanders and the GP Plouay. And then we hit on the idea of doing an entire stage race in one single Sufferfest video. Using those 20:00 sessions to do a full race simulation. Now, “it gets interesting.” Cue evil laugh.

Individual Use - $11.99Group & Class Use - $24.99
 Coming late November.

The Workout

Onto the trainer and into another world! You are a Sufferlandrian. And you’re racing for the Sufferlandrian National Team in the Tour of Sufferlandria. You’re expected to take the leader’s jersey (and a very special jersey it is) over the race, the stages of which are:

  • 3:30 Warm-up

  • 5:30 Stage 1: Easy, flat terrain at effort level of 6/10 with a few accelerations

  • 20:00 Stage 2: Rolling terrain with a series of attacks as the pack tries to take the lead from you

  • 6:00 Recovery

  • 20:00 Stage 3: More rolling, attacking racing in which you try to break away to get the lead back

  • 4:00 Recovery

  • 3:30 Stage 4: Team Time Trial in which you have to crush yourself in order to take the lead, and the Tour of Sufferlandria victory

  • 6:00 Recovery, featuring Mental Training Reflection from Athlete’s Audio

The Soundtrack

The soundtrack for this one is all electronic – seriously pounding dance tracks to keep you motivated right through to the end. We spent a LOT of time to get the tracks for this one right. A full listing will be coming in the next couple of days, with links to the artists so you can buy the individual tracks you like most.

Friday DP at the Drop Off

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSnPjiLEA2Y?wmode=transparent]

Seven of us hit the trailz this AM for some dark patrol action.

The class let me be the Mellow Casual line leader. Log>Old Track>Morning Choice (over the Drop Off)>4 way>Rock Burn Branch loop>Ridge>Valley View Alternate>Ridge>Cascade>Lewis and Clark>Log

I was the only Nemo who went over the DropOff near the Old Connector. I didn't "touch the butt" but i did let out a big burp up front.

Great to have the Krofton Krue on board too.
