YAY! HFS is Back

Media_httpassetsbizjo_udplw

"WHFS returned to the Baltimore airwaves on Monday, with a lineup featuring many of the same alternative rock bands and disc jockeys that made the station popular in the mid 1990s.
HFS debuted at noon on Monday on 97.5 FM and WWMX 106.5 HD2, both operated by CBS Radio of Baltimore. The station has been available on high-def radio and online. The station kicked off broadcasting with the Smashing Pumpkins' hit 90s song "Today."
The station, popular for its stadium-sized HFStival concerts, will feature tracks from bands such as Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Green Day and Coldplay. Dave Labrozzi, vice president of programming for CBS Radio of Baltimore, said the station will focus on mid-90s music.
Personalities anchoring the station’s programming include Tim Virgin, Gina Crash and Neci, all with HFS backgrounds. The station will also feature Jenn Marino and longtime radio personality Chris Emery.
In 2005, WHFS 99.1 FM switched to a Latin format.
"We've always wanted to try to get it back on the air in Baltimore," Bob Philips, senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio of Baltimore, said of HFS' return in an interview Monday. "There's been a demand there for a long time."
“Loveline with Mike & Dr. Drew” will air weeknights from 10 p.m. to midnight."

NICENESS!  Only thing missing is Adam Corolla;-(
